Tournament Schedule & Registration

When: The tournament will be held over a weekend—Saturday and Sunday, with all matches concluding on Sunday.

Note: A category will be eliminated if fewer than 4 teams register for it.


Team Size & Substitution Rules

Each team consists of 2 players, with 1 optional substitute.

A substitute can only be added before the start of a match—no substitutions are allowed during a game.

Each player or substitute may join only one team throughout the league.

To be eligible for the knockout stage, a substitute must have played in at least one league match.

A substitute can replace a player only before a match begins, not during gameplay.


Conduct & Fair Play

All matches are self-officiated.

Teams are expected to resolve disputes among themselves. If no agreement is reached, the point should be replayed.

Respect toward all players, volunteers, and organizers is mandatory.

IMA organizers hold full authority over all decisions and rulings.

Match Rules

Early Rounds:

  • League game to 15 points
  • Must win by 2 points

Semifinals & Finals:

  • Best of 3 games
  • Each game played to 11 points
  • Must win by 2 points

Side Switch:

  • Teams switch sides when one team reaches half the game points:
    • 8 points in 15-point games
    • 6 points in 11-point games

Serving Rules:

  • Standard pickleball rules apply:
    • Underhand serve
    • Double-bounce rule (ball must bounce once on each side before volleys begin)

Match Duration:

  • Early round matches are scheduled for 30 minutes each.
  • Semifinals and finals may have extended time slots due to the best-of-three format.

Team Check-In:

  • Teams must report at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match time.

Walkover Rule:

  • If a team is 10 minutes late, the match is awarded to the opponent.

Equipment & Courts

Pickleballs will be provided by IMA.

Players must bring their own paddles.

Matches are scheduled to start and finish on time—please be prompt.
